Artist Statement

To connect through tangibly translating our innermost passions is Antonia Eugenie’s aim.

A multidisciplinary creator and curator, Antonia Eugenie's innovative artistic actions take on many forms.

Working across mediums including video, events, community engagement, photography, installation, and performance, her work is embedded in the discourses of queerness, feminism, collage, emotionality, and psychology.

The body, participation, plurality, haptic visuality, and emotional response feature prominently in her works, both curatorial and creative, and are used as both aesthetic choices and as media in their own right.

Antonia Eugenie’s work stems from a personal-political place; lived experience serves as a direct launchpad for her work.

Her main areas of interest include the creation of empathetic and intimate spaces, surrealism, nostalgia, neurodiversity, queer experience, sexuality, unity, and the female nude.

Antonia Eugenie has worked in a variety of roles within the UK arts industry ranging from artistic direction, community arts, project management, gallery management, curating, and production.
